Marlene M. Street, 61, of Vandalia, formerly of Fairbury, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, in Bloomington.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Ritter Cemetery in rural Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: The family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.millerfh.net.
Mrs. Street was born on Jan. 25, 1956, in Vandalia, the daughter of Wayne E. and Grace Opal (Wadlow) Blankenship. She married James Edward "Jim" Street in September 1976 in Hagarstown.
She was a homemaker, retired nurse's aide and campground hostess/receptionist.
She is survived by her husband; son, Andrew Street of Forrest; daughters, Amy Mekarski of Fairbury and Nicole Meister of Pontiac; grandchildren, Seth, Braiden, Caden, Isabella, Jakob, Gianna and Calvin; brother, Cecil Blankenship of Hennepin; sisters, Linda Perkins of Warsaw, Ind., and Phyllis Marshall of Taylorville; and in-laws, John and Doris Street of Vandalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Marion Blankenship.
