Martha L. Young, 80, of Vandalia, passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.

Martha was born on March 31, 1935, in Water Valley, Ky., the daughter of Leon and Freadah Jett Culpepper.
She was a self-employed beautician before retiring, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Forest.
She is survived by a son, Bobby Wilkerson and his wife Debbie of Panama City, Fla.; daughter, Pamela and her husband Glen Olmstead of Vandalia; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Wilkerson; brothers, Leon Culpepper, Richard Linder, Jimmy Linder and Bill Linder; and sisters, Myrtle Gardner, Elsie Smith and Ann Canter.
