Naomi J. Reeter, 85, of Decatur, formerly of Vernon and Vandalia, died at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Imboden Creek Living Center in Decatur.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at First Pentecostal Church in Vandalia, with the Revs. Paul Cagle and Daniel McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the church. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Ms. Reeter was born on Jan. 11, 1928, in Vernon, the daughter of the Rev. J.H. and Chloe Tolbert Reeter.
She retired after 35 years as a bookkeeper for ADM in Decatur. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Vandalia.
She is survived by a brother, Tom Reeter of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Doris Wehrle of Vandalia, and Lois and her husband Gary Bone of Effingham; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
