Nola I. Weaver, 93, of Vandalia, passed away at 3:45 a.m. on Sunday at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at McInturff Cemetery in Hagarstown, with the Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Memorials: . Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at
Mrs. Weaver was born on Nov. 10, 1923, in Tower Hill, the daughter of William and Velma (Roberts) Swofford. She married William R. Weaver on Nov. 21, 1942, in St. Charles, Mo.; he passed away on Feb. 20, 2005.
She was a homemaker, raising her and Williams' four children.
She is survived by a son, Gary Weaver and his wife Shelly of Moore, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; brothers, Don and Harold Swofford; sister, Wilma Meyer; and sister-in-law, Barbara Swofford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Russell Swofford; daughters, Carolyn Swofford and Wilma West; and siblings, Otis, Sidney, Raymond, James and Everett Swofford, and Retha Blain.
