Norma Jean Hall, 87, of Vandalia, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday and one hour before services on Sunday, both at the funeral home. Memorials: Fayette County Hospital LTC Activity Fund or Fayette County Cancer Fund. Mrs. Hall was born on Oct. 11, 1928, in Fayette County, the daughter of Elden R. and Lydia (Karr) Carson. She married Donald F. Hall on May 11, 1946, in Vandalia.
She worked for many years at Imco Container, Brockway Plastics and Graham Packaging in Vandalia.
She is survived by her son, Dan Hall and friend Viola Blankenship of Vandalia; sister, Carolee Boggs of Vandalia; special niece, Mindy and her husband Dave Meseke of Vandalia; grandchildren, Shawn Hall, TJ Hall and his wife Allison, and Annette McClintock and friend Gary Redfern; great-grandsons, Hayden Hall and Bradyn McClintock; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Ross Carson, Clarence Carson and Ronnie Carson; sister, Betty Smith; and brother-in-law, Gene Boggs.
