Obituary

Norman Wayne Elam, 66, of Coalton, formerly of Vandalia, died at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at his mother's home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis, with the Rev. Ryan Follis officiating. Burial with military rites by American Legion Post 94 will be in Ohlman Cemetery in Ohlman. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Elam was born on Nov. 27, 1949, in Vandalia. He was the son of Robert Elam and Dorothy Forehand Woolard.
Survivors include his children, Tina and her husband Brian Guinn of Litchfield, Christopher Elam and his wife Emily of Bloomington, Ind., Heather Elam of Nokomis, Cindy and her husband Darren Witt of Pana, and Tobi Simonton and his wife Dawn of Nokomis.
