Ralph W. Robison, 95, of Brownstown, passed away at 3:25 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. next Monday at Liberty Christian Church in rural Brownstown, with Jim Dann officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Visitation will beheld from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday and one hour before services on Monday, both at the church. Memorials: Liberty youth group, Liberty Cemetery, Lighthouse Pregnancy Center or Smile Train. Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home in Brownstown was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Robison was born on Saturday, Feb. 14, 1920, in Sefton Township, the son of Homer and Ruby (Arnold) Robison. He married Louese Pearson on May 9, 1942; she preceded him in death on March 24, 1998.
He was a member of Liberty Christian Church, where he had served in various capacities over the years, including deacon, trustee and treasurer. He was a lifelong farmer, and he served as treasurer of the Brownstown Volunteer Fire Protection District for many years. He loved hunting, playing his banjo and, especially, his family.
He is survived by a son, Bill Robison and his wife Elvera of Brownstown; grandchildren, Josh Robison and his wife Jalana of Effingham, Luke Robison and his wife Holly of Brownstown, Erin and her husband Joe Klug of Brownstown, Renee and her husband Jon England of Sullivan, Shawna Cole of Bethany, Kyle Strobel of Palestine, and Kurt Strobel and his wife Sheila of Maroa; great-grandchildren, Caitlin and her husband Brandon Garrett, Danielle, Michael, Kendra, Kaitlyn, Ellyana, Wade and Annaka; and a sister-in-law, Margie Pearson of Enid, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughters, Gloria Lash, and Jeanne and her husband Virgil Strobel; brother, Russell Robison and his wife Elizabeth; and a brother-in-law, Wayland Pearson.
