Robert J. "Bob" Dugan, 70, of Vandalia, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, in Springfield.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at First United Methodist Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Terry Westerfield officiating. Burial will be in McInturff Cemetery in rural Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday, both at the church. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: First United Methodist Church in Vandalia/New Youth Center Project. Online condolences may be shared at www.millerfh.net.
Mr. Dugan was born on Nov. 2, 1943, in Alton, the son of John Melvin "Bill" and Doris Reta Coburn Dugan. He married Linda Lou Mosley on Feb. 1, 1964, in Vandalia.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Vandalia, retired First National Bank of Vandalia real estate appraiser, former social studies teacher at Pana and Vandalia Junior High Schools, farmer, prior member of Vandalia Community Unit School District Board for 20 years and member of National Work Force Board.
He is survived by his wife; sons, David Dugan and his wife Angie, Duane Dugan and his wife Tonna, and Darin Dugan and his wife Kara, all of Vandalia; brother, Dan Dugan and his wife Ginny of Quincy; grandchildren, Kyle, Abby, Micah, Hannah and Lauren Dugan, and Evyn Barker; a great-grandchild, Kamren; and mother-in-law, Geraldine Mosley Hipsher of Vandalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild, Ryan.
