Ronald Gene Dolly, 62, of Vandalia, died on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at his home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at First Baptist Church in Mulberry Grove, with the Rev. Benjamin Potter officiating. Burial will be in McInturff Cemetery in Hagarstown. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Saturday, both at the church. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Dolly was born on July 15, 1951, in Vandalia, the son of Kenneth and Dorothy Phelps Dolly. He married April Wehrle on July 21, 1972, at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church in rural Vandalia.
He was employed by Hosick Motors in Vandalia and Bear Arms Gun Shop in Brownstown. He was affiliated with First Baptist Church of Mulberry Grove.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Colby Dolly and his wife Dominique of Wildwood, Mo., and Cody Dolly and his fiancée Chelsea Carlen of Terre Haute, Mo.; daughter, Adrienne Dolly and her fiancé Rick Brace of Merritt, Fla.; grandchildren, Cayla and Peyton Dolly, both of Wildwood, Mo.; brothers, James Dolly and his wife Sharon of Shobonier, and Don Dolly and his wife Elizabeth of Vandalia; and sister, Sheila Branum of Salem.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Gary Dolly.
