Samuel Thomas Tirpak was born sleeping at 3:03 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Samuel was a precious gift from God and was much loved by all his family, and to think, the first thing he saw when his little eyes opened was the face of Jesus.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Mt. Zion. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Mickey and Heather (Dixson) Tirpak of Cerro Gordo; brothers, Mickey and Lucas Tirpak, both of Cerro Gordo; sister, Alexandra Tirpak of Cerro Gordo; grandparents, Mick and Linda Tirpak of Cerro Gordo, and Janine (Dixson) Wodtke and friend Roy Nichols of Vandalia; aunts, Tammy Tirpak of Elwin, Jessica (Jason) Talley of Collinsville, and Angie (Scott) Fedie of Guyton, Ga.; uncles, Robbie (Andrea) Tirpak of Forsyth, Bart Tirpak of Cerro Gordo; great-grandma, Jean Boch of Taylorville; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Matthew and Joseph; aunt, Lindsay, and uncle, Doug; great-grandparents, Julius and Ida Wodtke, Clifton and Georgianna Martin, and Gordon and Betty Dixson; and great-grandpa, Steve Tirpak.
