Sharon L. Hartline, 74, of Brownstown, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Fayette County Cancer Fund or Fayette County Health Department Home Health and Hospice. Mrs. Hartline was born on May 16, 1942, in Granite City, the daughter of Virgil and Dorothy (McCart) Austin.
Sharon was a member of the Vandalia Women of the Moose, and was affiliated with the Baptist Church of Lake City, Fla., and The Bod Church of Roland, Okla., before moving to Illinois.
She is survived by her son, Fred Hartline Jr. and his wife Lori of Wichita, Kan.; daughers, Sherrie and her husband Todd Deutsch of Vandalia, and Dawn and her husband Bobby Barnes of Roland, Okla.; brothers, Larry Austin and his wife Nancy of Clermont, Fla., and Thomas Austin and his wife Jodie of Ardmore, Okla.; sister, Jane Kizer of Wood River; grandchildren, Matthew, Stephanie, Heather, Whitney, Megan Samantha, Colton, Robert and Caitlin; and great-grandchildren, Haylee, Jack, Zayne and Annika.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gary Austin; sisters, Diane Gordon and Karen SanSoucie; and a grandson, James "Jimmy" Deutsch.
