Shirley J. White, 63, of Vernon, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at her home.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Jerry Bagwell officiating. Burial was in Keens Chapel Cemetery in rural Farina. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia. Memorials: The family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.millerfh.net.
Mrs. White was born on Dec. 26, 1953, in Vandalia, the daughter of Elroy F. and Marjorie Irene (Rinkel) Graumenz. She married Edmond J. White Sr. on Dec. 26, 1987, in Vandalia.
She was the owner/operator of Shirley's Antiques in Vandalia and later in Vernon. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, where she was a Sunday school and Bible school teacher; and a Girl Scout and Brownie leader, and a Boy Scout den leader. Shirley loved hunting, fishing, trapping, mushroom hunting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband; mother, Marjorie and her husband Louie Warner of Vandalia; son, Ed White Jr. of Vernon; daughters, Michelle and her husband Ron Pruemer of Vernon, and Sandy and her husband Harry Kreutzberg of Marine; brothers, Dennis Graumenz and his wife Debbie of Vandalia, Devon Graumenz and his wife Patty of Shobonier, Gary Graumenz and his wife Jill of Vandalia, and David Graumenz and his wife Amy of Vandalia; sister, Cheryl and her husband Randy Pollard of Vandalia; grandchildren, Kelsey, Carin, Erik, Austin and Caroline; and great-grandchildren, Jase, Elijah and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her father.
