Tiffany Joy Gentry, 38, of LaVergne, Tenn., formerly of Vandalia, passed away at 3:58 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Tenn., with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. There was no visitation, and burial will be at a later date in McInturff Cemetery in rural Vandalia. Reed Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Joy was born on July 2, 1978, in Vandalia, the daughter of David and Nancy (Paul) Swain.
She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and was an office manager.
She is survived by her daughter, Abigail Grace Gentry of LaVergne, Tenn.; father, David Swain and his wife Andrea of Joplin, Mo., and mother, Nancy and her husband George Glass of Harrisburg; brothers, Joshua Swain of Illinois, and Jacob Swain and his wife Sarah of Carbondale; sister, Andi and her husband Jeff Miller of Harrisburg; brother, Eric Glass and his wife Theresa of Wentzville, Mo.; maternal grandfather, Richard Paul of Vandalia; paternal grandmother, Marjorie Cornwell of Homosassa, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
