Ulavon Fern "Bonnie" Haslett, 89, of Brownstown, died at 12:18 a.m. on Tuesday at Feb. 23, 2016, at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at First Christian Church in Brownstown, with Kendall Bopp and Shawn Case officiating. Burial was in Griffith Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Visitation was held from 1:30 p.m. until time of services at the church. Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home in Brownstown was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: First Christian Church in Brownstown. Mrs. Haslett was born on Thursday, May 20, 1926, in Patoka, the daughter of Morton and Ida (Cox) Walker. She married Louis K. Haslett on Friday, Sept. 21, 1945; he died on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015.
Survivors include a daughter, Charlene and her husband Steve Case of Moweaqua; and sons, Larry Haslett and his wife Libby of Columbus, Ga., and Brad Haslett and his wife Fan of Collierville, Tenn.
