Valeria E. Ehrat, 90, of Vandalia, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. David R. Speers officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Shobonier. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church. Memorials: Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Fayette County Hospital LTC Activity Fund. Mrs. Ehrat was born on May 6, 1926, in St. Paul, the daughter of William and Rose (Oertwig) Wollin. She married Fred Cecil Ehrat on Oct. 30, 1946, in St. Paul; he passed away on Dec. 14, 2011.
She was a homemaker, a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Augsburg and St. Paul Lutheran Church in St. Paul.
She is survived by a son, Dennis Ehrat and his wife Bunny; grandchild, Monica and her husband Dustin Chandler; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Daisy; and sister, Viola Knecht of Vandalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Angela Ehrat; two brothers and two sisters.
