Verlin Kingston, 80, of Mulberry Grove, died at 12:27 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013, at Greenville Regional Hospital in Greenville.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Mulberry Grove First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ben Potter officiating. Burial will be in McInturff Cemetery in Hagarstown, with military rites provided by American Legion Post 1180 of Mulberry Grove. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Young Funeral Home in Greenville was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Mulberry Grove First Baptist Church or Mulberry Grove Fire Department First Responders. Mr. Kingston was born on Jan. 1, 1933, in Tamalco, the son of Fred and Carrie Leidner Kingston. He married Shirley Carman on Nov. 15, 1958, in Mulberry Grove.
Survivors include his wife; and daughters, Shelley and her husband Don Brimberry of Vandalia, and Sheila and her husband Daren Elam of Mulberry Grove.
