Violet M. Autenrieth, 75, of Vandalia, died on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Parkview Free Methodist Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. John Glennon and Dr. Ward Sussenbach officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia and one hour before services on Friday at the church. Mrs. Autenrieth was born on March 23, 1937, in St. John, Kan., the daughter of Paul Mathias and Bertha Ozelle Andrew Adams. She married Orland Newton Autenrieth on Sept. 9, 1956, in Sedalia.
She was a member of Parkview Free Methodist Church, and was a retired bookkeeper for The Vandalia Leader-Union, Greenville College and Kern's AG Services Inc.
She is survived by her husband; son, David O. Autenrieth of Los Angeles, Calif; daughters, Cynthia Autenrieth of Vandalia and Janice Sullivan of Vandalia; brothers, Hubert, Vernon and Ivan Andrew Adams, all of Idaho; sisters, Bertha Meyers of Montana, R. Jane Mewes of Illinois and Janice Faye Scott of Nebraska; grandchildren, David Michael and John Levi Autenrieth, and Jay Michael Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
