William L. 'Bill' Metzger, 63, Shobonier
William L. "Bill" Metzger, 63, of Shobonier, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Metzger was born on Dec. 13, 1949, in Vandalia, the son of Harold Fred and Vera Irene Morell Metzger. He married Janet Marie Schnarre on Aug. 19, 1972, in Augsburg.
He was the lead supervisor for the Illinois Department of Transportation and a farmer. He was a member of Temperance Lodge No. 16 A.F. & A.M. of Vandalia, NRA and IFOR.
He is survived by his wife; brother, Jim Metzger of Shobonier; sons, Todd Metzger and his wife Michelle of Vandalia, and Erik Metzger and his wife Amanda of Shobonier; daughter, Stephanie Metzger and special friend Brian Graumenz of Shobonier; and grandchildren, Austin, Daxton and Cole.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
