Obituary

William "Bill" Stuckemeyer, 91, of Altamont, died at 12:05 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont, with the Rev. Bernard M. Ross III officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Kull Funeral Chapel in Altamont and one hour before services on Wednesday at the church. Memorials: Lutheran Care Center, 702 W. Mr. Stuckemeyer was born on Nov. 30, 1924, on the family farm in Moccasin Township, Effingham County, the son of Henry and Dorothea (Lenz) Stuckemeyer. He married Eva Koss on Feb. 14, 1954, at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Altamont; she died on Nov. 26, 2003.
Survivors include sons, Robert Alan Stuckemeyer and his wife Barbara of Dawson, Neb., Dale William Stuckemeyer and his wife Eileen of Altamont, and James Edward Stuckemeyer and his wife Rhonda of Altamont; and daughters, Barbara Jean and her husband Jim Miller of Willow Hill, and Janet Kay and her husband Russell Ramsey of Altamont.
