Charles Lee Oary, 68, of Mulberry Grove, died on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at First Christian Church in Greenville, with the Rev. Darryl Bolen officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of services on Sunday at the church. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Oary was born on Oct. 31, 1943, in Vandalia, the son of Isadoro Howard and Florence Ethel Wetherell Oary. He married Christine Alison Ward on Jan. 22, 1976, in Wood River.
He worked for Boeing in St. Louis, Mo., as a sheet metal worker, and was a member of First Christian Church in Greenville.
He is survived by his wife; son, Charles "Chuck" Oary Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Mulberry Grove; daughter, Tracy Oary of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Brittany, Patrick, Josh and Zach; and a great-grandchild, Justin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruby Carpenter.
