Brady, Mary Rita - Lebanon  
Mary Rita Brady, 92, Lebanon, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 in Bardstown. She was born on Feb. 9, 1922 in St. Joe. Brady was a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by: her husband, John Bertrand Brady; her parents, Thomas Hayes Sr. and Clara Edna Hardin Mattingly; sisters, Janette Lee, Catherine Brown, Susan Mills, Celeste Mills, and Theresa Fife; and brothers, Gilbert, Hardin, and Thomas Hayes Mattingly Jr. Survivors include: three daughters, Mary (Wayne) Mattingly of Bardstown, Linda Ruth (Nick) Thompson of Raywick, and R. Janette (Frank) Welch of Bardstown; seven sons, Joe (Ann) Brady of Loretto, Anthony B. (Brenda S.) Brady of Louisville, Mike (Michelle) Brady of Calvary, Pat (Marcella) Brady of Calvary, David (Bunny) Brady of Lebanon, Gerald (Melissa) Brady of Calvary, and Darrell (Betsy) Brady of Washington Courthouse, Ohio; 27 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church with burial in St. Joe Community Cemetery. Rev. Bill Bowling officiated. Pallbearers were Chris Brady, Justin Brady, Travis Brady, Tony Brady Jr., David Brady, Keith Brady, Scott Brady, and Jimmy Brady. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.

Carrico, Louis Bertrand - Lebanon  
Louis Bertrand Carrico, 53, Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014. He was born on Nov. 30, 1960 in Lebanon. Louis was the owner of Lebanon Car World, a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Augustine Catholic Church, and was a six-time champion of the Lebanon Invitational Tournament. He was preceded in death by: his father, Thomas Hamilton Carrico; and his grandparents. Survivors include: his wife, Debbie Hughes Carrico of Lebanon; his mother, Martha Carrico of Lebanon; his son, Tommy Carrico of Lebanon; his daughter, Olivia Carrico of Lebanon; eight sisters, Mary Helen Weeks of Monument, Colo., Ann Lankford of Frankfort, Vicki (Beno) Spalding of Lebanon, Fran Wright of Frankfort, Jane (Joe) Logsdon of Louisville, Tommy Lou (Terry) Thomas of Lebanon, Libby (Todd) Raley of Lebanon, and Joann (Parker) White of Louisville; his father and mother-in-law, James and Joyce Hughes of Lebanon; his sister and brother-in-law, Angie and Gary Caldwell of Lebanon; and several nieces, nephews, and many special friends. A Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Bill Bowling officiated and Deacon Joe Dant assisted. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions made to the Louis Bertrand Carrico St. Augustine Scholarship Fund. Pallbearers were Curt White, Travis White, Brian Logsdon, Nick Thomas, Chad Spalding, Brandon Caldwell, Nathan Caldwell, Sean Doolittle, David Raley, and Joe Dale Wright. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.

David Earl Gribbins, 66, Bradfordsville, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. Survivors include: his wife, Patricia Lou Gribbins; six sons and spouses, Mark "PJ" (Charlene) Trailor of Bradfordsville, Tommy (Nancy) Carey of Shepherdsville, Troy Carey of Georgia, Teddy Ray (Alisa) Gribbins of Georgia, Robert (Shelly) Gribbins of Lebanon and Myer Alan (Heather) Gribbins of Erlanger; three daughters and spouses, Dana (Charlie) Roeder of Lebanon, Carrie (Amy) Gribbins of Hawaii, Robin (Tony) Medley of Louisville; 18 grandchildren; three brothers, Jimmy Gribbins , Ronnie Gribbins, both of Raywick, and Donnie Gribbins of Bradfordsville; four sisters, Lea "Sissy" Benedict of Junction City, Ann Hall of Lebanon, Susie Bradshaw of Junction City, and Emogene Bradshaw of Campbellsville. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville. The veteran was honored by the Marion County Detention Center, and with ceremonies by the Marion County Honor Guard and Patriot Riders, accompanied by Carolyn H. Cook, Pipe Major. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Bradfordsville School Community Building Fund, donations can be made at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Dylan Medley, Emily Gribbins, Mitchell Carey, Nathaniel Gribbins, Callie Gribbins, Tristan Medley, Chandler Carey, and Tanner Roeder. Leading casket were Dakota Gribbins and Jalen Gribbins. Honorary pallbearers were Wyatt Medley, Rianna Gribbins, Landon Carey, Ben Gribbins, Jackson Gribbins, Noah Gribbins, Addison Gribbins, and Emma Gribbins. Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Hogan, Edward Lee - Bradfordsville  
Edward Lee Hogan, 87, Bradfordsville, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 in Lebanon at Village of Lebanon. He was born on Oct.28, 1927 to the late Mattie Wolford Hogan and Bert Hogan, he was also preceded in death by: his wife, Mary Clarice Hogan; one brother, Walter Hogan; and one sister, Eunice Hogan White. Ed was a beloved father and grandfather, loved farming and his church, was also the former chairman of Old Liberty Cemetery. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law; David (Jayne) Hogan; four daughters and son-in-laws, Diane (Jimmie) Evans, Betsy Hogan, Kimberly Hogan and Mary Ruth Hogan (Anthony Evans); and four grandchildren, Jamie, Deidra, Kelli and Allie Evans. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Bradfordsville United Methodist Church with burial in the Old Liberty Cemetery. Rev. Robert Barr officiated. Pallbearers were Jimmie Evans, Jamie Evans, Anthony Evans, Gleason Dudley, Freddy Marlowe, Billy Ray Stayton, Eddie Ryan, and Willard Rakes All arrangements by Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon.

Donnie Ray Johnson, 61, Lebanon, formerly of Campbellsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at his residence in Lebanon. He was born on June 23, 1953 to the late Frank Stark and Marie Dawson. He was also preceded in death by: one sister, Tina Johnson. Survivors include: four sons and daughter-in-laws, Stanley (Twilla) Johnson, Timothy Douglas (Contessa) Johnson, Donnie Ray Johnson Jr. and Lamont (Sherry) Van Cleave all of Lebanon; two daughters and son-in-law, Alicia Johnson (Donald Spivey-fiancé) of Berea and Vashawna (Luis) Andrade of Lebanon; six brothers, William L. Johnson of Elizabethtown, Boyce Johnson, Paul Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Daniel Johnson and Jeff Johnson, all of Campbellsville; two sisters, Catherine Johnson and Cynthia Johnson, both of Campbellsville. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in Campbellsville. Rev. Elder Johnson officiated and Sister Knuckles assisted. Pallbearers were James L. VanCleave, Kevin VanCleave, Richard VanCleave, William Spalding, David Bell, and Steven Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Ollie Simpson, Donald Spivey, Louis Simpson, David Litsey, Ryan Johnson, and Joe Downs. Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Survivors include: her husband, William (Buster) Mattingly; four sons and daughter-in-laws, William (Ruth) Mattingly of Germany, Edward Denny (Wanda) Mattingly of New Albany, Ind., George (Dianne) Mattingly of Williamsburg, Va. and Jerome (Mary) Mattingly of Louisville; one brother, Charles Porter of Louisville; three sisters and brother-in-laws, Mary Angela (Paul) Simpson, Lucy M. (Jeroyd) Evans and Alice (Robert) Bell, all of Lebanon; one sister-in-law, Ella Porter; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends. Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at St. Augustine Church with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery. Father Chris Rhodes officiated. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Clarence Elrod Raley; her parents, Benjamin and Bessie Guthrie Brown; a son, Edgar Ray Raley; a granddaughter, Pamela Raley Baker; two brothers, Paul Ray Brown and Vernon Brown; and two sisters, Dorothy Raley and Eizabeth Wicker. Survivors include: a daughter, Vernona (David) Raley of Springfield; a son, Ronnie (Diane) Raley of Bradfordsville; two brothers, Randolph Brown of Shepherdsville and Marvin Brown of Sweeny, Texas; a sister, Juanita Chelf of Lebanon; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with interment in Ryder Cemetery. Rev. Delane Pinkston officiated. Pallbearers were David Raley, Steve Leake, Ben Leake, Eric Scott, Bobby VanDyke, and Anthony Evans. Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
