Anna B. Cabell Raley, 94, passed Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Center, Lebanon.
She was born Feb. 10, 1918 in Marion County to the late Joe and Hester Gribbins Cabell and Joe Cabell. She was a long time employee of George's Department Store, and for many years after her retirement, a faithful volunteer at Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home with the Sing-Along-singers.
Besides her parent she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Raley; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Yaste and Russell Begley; one brother, Dan Cabell; two half brothers, Denny Cabell and Bert Gamble; and two son-in-laws, Andrew Owen and Joe Buckman.
Survivors include: five daughters, Mary Ann McCollum (Lowell) of Berea, Barbara Yaste (Jackie) of Lexington, Amelia Owen, Ginger Buckman, and Linda Begley (Merle) all of Lebanon; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one niece, Debbie Cabell Spalding of Lebanon; and one nephew, Danny Cabell.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Lebanon United Presbyterian Church with burial in Ryder Cemetery. Rev. Peggy Birmingham and Rev. Carrie Mook Bridgeman officiated.
Active pallbearers were Richard McCollum, Steve McCollum, Keith Yaste, Curtis Potter, Travis Begley, and Billy Begley.
Honorary pallbearers were Susan McCollum Kaucic, Lovie Yaste Zajicek, Beckie Yaste Isaacs, Lynn Yaste Cipro, Julie Thomas Jesseph, Jill Thomas Potters, Genny Begley, and Leanna Begley.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Presbyterian Church.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
