Elizabeth Ann Gribbins

Elizabeth Ann Gribbins, 81, New Hope, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Newton Clayton, one son, Clayton Gribbins, five brothers, Leonard, Paul, Charles Jr., George and F. H. "Chuck" Clayton.
Survivors include: her husband Kenneth "Shorty" Gribbins; three daughters, Mary Ann Gribbins (Steve) of Bardstown, Patty Hurst (Jerry) of New Haven, Linda Burress (Kendall) of New Hope; three sons, Kenny Gribbins of New Hope, Timmy Gribbins (Betty) of Bardstown, Don Gribbins (Sandy) of New Hope and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters, Leona Lyvers and Catherine Rizer, both of Bardstown and one brother, Louis Clayton (Ollie) of Louisville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 104 Church Street, New Hope, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Ken Fortener will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. by Rev. Deacon Jim Cecil.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Todd Gribbins, Allan Lyvers, Ben and Andy Hurst, Kurt Edelen and Dane Gribbins.
Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters, Carol Lyvers, Tina Dissellcamp, Tracy Stanley, Mallory Gribbins, Megan Gribbins.
Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
