Irene Treadway Tate, 65, Lebanon, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at her residence.
She was born on Jan. 13, 1948.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Edgar and Sarah Bell Treadway; two brothers, James and Derrell Treadway; and four sisters, Mattie Griffin, Inez Brown, Edna Lones, and Nana Mae Blakey.
Survivors include: her husband, Shelby Tate of Lebanon; three sons, Melvin Wayne Treadway, Shelby Eugene Tate, and Buddy Tate Jr. all of Lebanon; two daughters, Pamela Ballard of Bardstown and Brenda Bullock of Brodhead; a brother, Earl Treadway of Harrodsburg; a sister, Clearice Griffin of Houstonville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery. Bro. Jim Humes officiated.
Pallbearers were Curtis Griffin, Robert Delany, Robert Tate, Wayne Smothers, James Hardin Jr., and Shelby Gene Tate.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
