James Michael "Mike" Montgomery, 67, Campbellsville, formerly of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1946 in Marion County to the late Simeon O'Daniel Montgomery Sr. and Dorothy Ward.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: four brothers, George, Ralph, Forrest (Boots), and Dan Montgomery; one sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Reed; and a step-son, Justin Roberts.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ann Montgomery of Campbellsville; one son and two daughters, Jeremy (Kiersten) Montgomery of Louisville, Melissa Brown of Springfield, and Leigh Ann (Keith) Blandford of Boston; one step-son and step-daughter, David Roberts of Campbellsville and Azure Renee (Sam) Hall of Covington; two sisters, Pat (Billy) Brown of Lebanon and Betty Ann Mattingly of Springfield; seven grandchildren; his former wife, Susan Montgomery of Lebanon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery with military honors. Rev. Ken Jessee officiated.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Montgomery, Alex Montgomery, Charlie Montgomery, Steven Mattingly, Terry Osborne, and Elmer Hughes.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
