James Robert 'Flute' VanCleave, 44, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 in Lebanon.
Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Geneva VanCleave Downs and Joseph Downs; his father, Joe Gene Walker, all of Lebanon; a brother Joseph VanCleave of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Benita Parks of Atlanta, Ga. and Latonia Downs Calhoun of Lexington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Ryder Cemetery. Rev. Fico Floyd officiated.
Active pallbearers were Stan 'Clink' Johnson, David 'Pookie' Litsey, James Furmon, James 'Sweetpea' and Richard VanCleave, Allen Calhoun, and J.R. Young.
Honorary pallbearers were Lamont and James VanCleave, Charlie, Steven, and Donnie 'D.J.' Johnson, Jermaine Kimberling, and Thereasa Gonzales.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
