James William ""Bill"" Douthitt(1931 - 2013)

James William "Bill" Douthitt, 82, Lebanon, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 at Village of Lebanon.
He was born on Jan. 11, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Douthitt was a U.S. veteran of both the army and air force, a retired guard from the Marion County Adjustment Center, and was a member of the Lebanon V.F.W. and Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Harold Hill and Mary Scott Douthitt.
Survivors include: his wife, Jeanne Douthitt of Springfield; four sons, Scott C. (Melissa) Douthitt of New Albany, Ind., Robert J. Douthitt of Florence, Kevin S. (Sue) Douthitt and Shawn (Sue) Douthitt, both of New Jersey; three daughters, Lisa (George) Broomfield of New Jersey, Mary (Sam) Harmon of Virginia Beach, Va., and Pamela (Ronald) Phelps of New Jersey; a sister, Barbara Jane (Gene) McMillens of Texas; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery. Rev. Bill Bowling officiated. Military honors were conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers were Bobby Douthitt, Jerry and Tim Thompson, Tony Furmon, Barry Brady, and William Stafford.
Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
