Johnnie Michael McElroy, 54, Glasgow died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 in Green County from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Born in Taylor County he was the son of the late Henry Leo McElroy and Annie Agnes Shively McElroy of Finley who survives. McElroy was a member of the Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church and owner and operator of Little Pony Express Trucking in Glasgow.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a half-brother Afton Leroy McElroy.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Bobbie Teresa McElroy of Glasgow; two sons, Michael Brian Spurling and wife Tammie and Jonathan Leo McElroy both of Campbellsville; a daughter Elizabeth Ann McElroy of Finley; a step-daughter Melissa Renee Ross of Merry Oaks; eight grandchildren, Isabelle Spurling, Sophia Spurling, Gabby Vanhoose, Jonathon Sanders, Cheyenne Adkins, Cayden Lane Titsworth, Emily Grace Titsworth and Bryson Lane McElroy; two brothers Roy Thomas McElroy and wife Patsy of Lebanon and Charles Wayne McElroy and wife Brenda of Finley; six sisters Billie Mae Turner and husband John of Bardstown, Nancy Marie Moore and husband Charles of Lebanon, Mary Elizabeth Parrott and husband Wallace of Lebanon, Gloria Lillian McElroy of Finley, Roberta Ann Lewis and husband Larry of Willisburg, and Brenda Kay Goatley and husband Charles of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. CST Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Campbellsville with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday after 1 p.m. CST at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, 201 E. Washington Street, Glasgow and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. CST until time for the service at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church.
