Joseph Benjamin 'Joe B.' Mattingly, 80, Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at the Village of Lebanon.
He was born on Oct. 19, 1932 in Marion County. Mattingly was a retired dairy farmer and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Barbara Ann Thomas Mattingly; his parents, Leonard and Madeline Spalding Mattingly; two sons, Joseph Jeffrey 'Jeff' and Bobby Mattingly; four brothers, George, Austin, William E. 'Snooter', and Jimmy Louis Mattingly; and a sister, Emogene Mills.
Survivors include: five sons, Tim (Mary Ann) Mattingly of Lebanon, Mark (Celia) Mattingly of Signal Mountain, Tenn., Stuart (Grace) Mattingly of Lebanon, Paul (Amy) Mattingly of Atlanta, Ga., and Matthew (Alexis) Mattingly of Nashville, Tenn.; three daughters, Annette Mattingly of Ely, Minn., Kristi Nuss of Lexington, and Kerry (Tim) DiDiego, of Lexington; a daughter-in-law, Kim Mattingly of North Carolina; a brother, Father Lawrence 'EH' Mattingly of El Paso, Texas; three sisters, Elizabeth 'Sis' Bradshaw of Louisville, Ruth Ann Mattingly of Milton, Delaware, and Carolyn Green of Lebanon; 17 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Charles Catholic Church, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Jim Graf officiated.
Pallbearers John Stuart, Craig, Benjamin, Donnie, and Thomas Mattingly, Jamie Abell, and Christian Wilke.
Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
