Mary Madeline Lee, 97, Calvary, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
She was born on Aug. 8, 1916 in Calvary. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Samuel Edward 'Ed' Lee Jr.; her parents, William B. and Anna Evelyn Drury Canary; a son, James William Lee; three grandchildren, Christa Lee, Jerry Lee Hughes, and Larry Joe Lee; three great-grandchildren, Madeline, David, and Charlotte Wise; two brothers, Gene and James Canary; and two sisters, Frances Elder and Catherine Ann Huddleston.
Survivors include: three sons, Eddie (Mary Sue) Lee of Lebanon, and Terry Lee and Larry (Carolyn) Lee, both of Calvary; five daughters, Kathleen (Robert) Thomas of Lebanon, Evelyn (David) Wise, Adeline (Jerry) Hughes, Carolyn (Glenn) Riney and Mary Ann (Jimmy) Beaven, all of Calvary; a brother, John Canary of Louisville; a sister, Mabel Spalding of Lebanon; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. George Illikkal and Rev. Jerry Bell officiated.
Pallbearers were Eddie Lee IV, Mark Beaven, Chad Thomas, John Lee, Curtis Wise, Jamie Lee, Jake Mayo, and Ryan Lee.
Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
