He was born on Feb. 8, 1923 in Raywick. Brady was a World War II Army veteran, receiving ribbons for the Asiatic Theater with 2 bronze stars and the American Theater. He received medals for good conduct, World War II Victory, and a Bronze Arrowhead.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Ida Hazel Powell Brady; his parents, Benjamin Francis and Cora Lee Stapp Brady; an infant sister, Eunice Brady; and a brother, Joseph Phillip Brady.
Survivors include: two sons, James Larry (Rita) Brady and David Allen (Patricia) Brady, both of Lebanon; four daughters, Linda Faye (Austin) Mudd of Springfield, Wanda Sue (Curtis) Ice of Bardstown, and Patricia Ann Brady and Lisa Michelle Brady, both of Lebanon; a brother, Cloyd Brady of St. Joe; five sisters, Cordie Smith of Springfield, Catherine Medley and Bernadine Spalding, both of Bardstown, Lottie Shaw of Louisville, and Theresa Shaw of Fort Myers, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with interment in Lebanon National Cemetery. Rev. Bill Bowling officiated.
Active pallbearers were Stephen and Jason Mudd, Bret, Larry "Boo Boo" and Paul Brady, and Phillip Ice.
