Joseph Herbert Hagan, 94, Lebanon, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on Jan. 2, 1919 in Marion County. He formerly worked as a carpenter in bridge construction. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific theatre.
He is preceded in death by: his wife, Doris Ann Hagan; two children, David and Patricia Hagan; his parents, William Felix and Blanche Reed Hagan; and one sister, Rose Ann Hagan.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Garrett of Milltown, Ind. and Juanite Tiwanak of Aiela, Hawaii; one son, Ronald Hagan of Jacksonville, Fla.; one step-daughter, Rebecca Leonard of Crittenden; two step-sons, Thomas Rector of Lebanon and Ralph Rector of Union City, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with Bro. Ed Amundson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till time of service on Thursday, July 18 at Mattingly Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be members of the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
