Dorothy Jean Moore Black, 73, Lebanon, passed away at 12:24 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her home.

A native of Marion County, she was born on April 29, 1941 to the late Eddie Clarence and Anna Bell Ratliffe Moore. She was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles A. Black on Sept. 16, 2000; a brother, Robert Moore; and two sisters, Louella Bright and Anna Marie Wright.
Survivors include: two daughters, Ruth Lee (Dennis) of Lebanon and Gina Jo "Nikki" Wheatley both of Lebanon; a son, Charles Allen Black (Brenda) of Radcliff; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas Moore (Betty) and Charles Moore (Nancy) both of Lebanon.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 19, at Carey & Son Funeral Home, Springfield, burial in Peter Cemetery, Mackville. Rev. Steve Skaggs, pastor of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church, officiated.
Pallbearers were Jerry Bright, Gery Moore, Larry Moore, Dennie Moore, James Moore, and Scott Black.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
