Dorothy Mae Russell Graves, 83, formerly of Mackville Road, Springfield, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Springfield Nursing & Rehab. Born Feb. 14, 1934 in Marion County, she was preceded in death by her parents, William Charles and Mary Edith White Russell; her stepmother, Marguerite Cambron Russell; her husband, Robert Edward Graves on Oct. 13, 2015; and two sisters, Shirley Walston and Beverly Wiggs.
She was a homemaker, had worked in the lunch room of St. Dominic School for 16 years, was a nursing assistant at Mary Immaculate Hospital for several years and had been a dental assistant for Dr. Joe Hill for several years.
She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Jimmy) Taylor and Jana (Jonathan) Jones all of Springfield, two brothers, Danny (Sue) Cambron of Jacksonville, Florida and Ricky (Donna) Russell of St. Mary, five sisters, Laverne Canary and Judy Ritchie both of Louisville, Jeannie (Marty) Cambron of Blairsville, Florida, Gloria (Ernie) O'Bryan of Springfield and Marilyn Buckman of Bardstown; six grandchildren, Ben and Madeline Taylor, and Cameron, Ashton, Clayton and Hamilton Jones.
Funeral Mass was conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. Culpepper Elliott officiating.  Burial was in Lebanon National Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ben Taylor, Jarrod Noel, Doug Walston, Ronnie and Stevie Canary and Kenny Graves.
