Edgar L. 'Pete' Purdom Jr., 77, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 27, 2013. He was a loving father, Pepaw, a friend to many.
He was born on June 22, 1935 in Bradfordsville to the late Edgar and Margaret Purdom. He retired from the U.S. Army and Fort Knox Dependent School System. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce; his daughter, Diane Kirk; his son, Jeff Purdom; his grandchildren, Lindsay Drake (Brandon), Wes Kirk; a sister, Judy Raley (Jerry); a brother, Tony Purdom (Charlotte).
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1 at The W.G. Hardy Funeral Home with entombment in KY Veteran Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
The W.G. Hardy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
