Francis Clifton Daugherty, 89, Lebanon, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.

He was born on March 7, 1923 in Marion County. Daugherty was a retired farmer, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and a member of the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Louis Raymond and Irene Hamilton Daugherty; three sisters, Florence Bott, Gladys Thomas, and Colette Schickel; and a brother, Pete Daugherty.
Survivors include: his wife, Nancy Williams Daugherty of Lebanon; a sister, Cecilia Spalding of Lebanon; three brothers, L.R. Daugherty of Indiana, Harold (Louise) Daugherty of Louisville, and Joe Paul (Jeanie) Daugherty of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at St. Charles Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Honor Guard. Deacon Joe Dant officiated.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard or to the Marion County Association for the Handicap, 516 Workshop Lane, Lebanon, KY 40033.
Pallbearers were Chris Spalding, Larry Thomas, Steve and Charlie Browning, David and Pat Daugherty, and Joe and Jerry Caldwell.
