Gilbert "Gil" Vincent Hutchins, 77, went to his heavenly home Friday May 25, 2018.
He was born in Bardstown on July 19, 1940 to the late William Alfred and Mattie Elizabeth Parent Hutchins. Gil was married 55 years to his loving wife, Stella Mae Wilson Hutchins. A faithful man of God, Gil was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a member of the Marion County Cattleman's Association. He worked construction for 43 years but Gil will always be remembered for his loving spirit and devotion to his Lord.
In addition to his wife, Stella, survivors include: five children, Richard, Dorothy, Vincent Hutchins, Victoria Brushway, and Rhonda Dyce; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Joseph and Julian "Leo" Hutchins.
A celebration of Gil's life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, June 3, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Gravel Switch. Pastor Jami Hamilton officiated.
