Isaac Norman McGohon, 87, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the home of his daughter in Roswell, Ga. He was the beloved husband of Kelsie Taylor McGohon for 66 years and resided in Elizabethtown.

He was born on April 10, 1926 in Bardstown and lived most of his life in Marion County. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon and in more recent years, he was a member of Gilead Baptist Church in Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Jack Overton and Aline Elizabeth Greer McGohon; a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Jarboe; and a grandson, Joshua Michael Lynch.
Survivors include: his wife, Kelsie Taylor McCohon; a son, Isaac Norman "Sonny" McGohon of Thomson, Ga.; a daughter, Sharon McGohon Lynch (Bill) of Roswell, Ga.; five grandchildren, William Isaac and Amanda Ashley Lynch, Mary Alison, Ryan Christopher, and Katelyn Anne McGohon; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill McGohon (Mildred) and Jack McGohon (Linda), both of Louisville; two sisters, Mrs. Marvelle Mattingly of Lebanon and Wanda Gabbart (Glen) of Kansas.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Highview Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Sam Hinkson officiated.
Pallbearers were William Isaac Lynch, Terry Jarboe, Pat Mattingly, Jeffery McGohon, Kelly McGohon, and Scott McGohon.
Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
