James Maurice "Marcy" Thomas III, 51, Louisville, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013.

He was born on Sept. 27, 1961 in Marion County. He was employed with Jack Cooper Transportation in Louisville and was a member of Teamsters Local Union 89. He formerly worked as an independent realtor and a truck driver with Thomas Trucking Company.
He was preceded in death by: his father, James Maurice "Jimmy" Thomas Jr., one sister, Robin Thomas; and one infant brother, Anthony Thomas.
Survivors include: his mother, Theresa Downs Thomas of Raywick, four daughters, Robyn Thomas, Francy Nally (Derek) and Katie Thomas all of Bardstown, and Ashley Auberry of Campbellsville; one son, Thomas James Thomas of Bardstown; five grandchildren, Bryce, Emery, Tanner, Ella and Christopher; one brother, Stuart Thomas (Lori) of Cox's Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 108 Main Street, Raywick, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. James W. Graf will be the celebrant.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will preside.
Pallbearers were David Lamkin, Brad Jones, Steve Wentworth, Christopher Thomas, Michael Thomas, Jordan Thomas, Cory Thomas, Stevie Gray, Avril Thompson, Randy Kemp, and Philip Lamkin.
Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
