Joseph Edward "Joey" Howey, 48, Madisonville, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on June 26, 1965 to the late Ozella Jones and Dargon Howey. He was also preceded in death by his foster mother, Beatrice Sanders; one brother, Dargon Howey; and two sisters, Bonnie Smith and Charlotte French.
Survivors include: five brothers, Terry Sanders of Lexington, Norman Laflamme of Vine Grove, James Howey of Harrodsburg, and Bruce Howey and Roger Howey both of Radcliff; three sisters, Connie Wheatley of Springfield, Sandy Hilton of Lexington, and Robin Mitchell of Harlan; two nieces; one nephew; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, with burial in Old Liberty Cemetery. Bro. Garland Buckman officiated.
Pallbearers were Rob Blevins, Terry Sanders, Bruce Howey, Clifton Mitchell, Norman Laflamme, and Roger Howey.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of all arrangements.
