Joseph Lawrence "Larry" Simpson, 66, Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville.

He was born on Nov. 21, 1947 in Marion County. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lynda Pauline Benningfield Simpson; his parents, Oscar and Lucy Marie McNear Simpson; a brother, James Henry Simpson; and two sisters, Catherine Hamilton and Wanda Adams.
Survivors include: a daughter, Tammy (George) Knopp of Lebanon; a grandson, Kendrick Knopp of Lebanon; and four sisters, Dorothy Cambron and Pauline Richerson both of Lebanon, Pat Hiltman of Florence, Colo., and Rita Simpson of Louisville.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Joseph Hemmerle will officiate.
Visitations are from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Bosley Funeral Home, 246 South Proctor Knott Avenue, Lebanon. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. by Deacon Joe Dant.
Active pallbearers were Wes Harp, Tommy Knopp, Todd Shouse, Bobby Abell, Vincent Knott, and Danny Graham.
Honorary pallbearers were Stan Hiltman, Jim Brady, David Karens, Wilbur Barnes, and Pete Pierce.
