Mary Ann Graves, 69, Louisville, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Norton Hospital.
She was born on April 24, 1944 in Marion County. She was a retired social worker for Jefferson County Public Schools and a graduate of Nazareth College in Bardstown and University of Louisville.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Louis and Mayola Buckler Graves; and one sister, Frances (Fannie) O'Nan.
Survivors include: four sisters, Louise Couch (Ken), Sue Hickey (Joe) all of Lexington, Elaine Murphy (Clarence) of Lebanon and Patricia Reed (John) of Springfield; one brother, Louis B. Graves Jr. of Lexington; her dear friend of 45 years, Anna Casey of Loretto; 14 nieces and nephews; and one brother-in-law, Ames O'Nan of Springfield.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Saint Francis, with burial in Saint Rose Cemetery, Springfield. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 5 p.m.
Memorials may go to the charity of donor's choice.
Pallbearers are her nephews, C.W. Murphy Jr., Chad Murphy, Joe Hickey Jr., Robert Hickey, Louis B. Graves III, Matthew Reed, Luke Reed, Morrison O'Nan, and Louis O'Nan.
Honorary pallbearers are her nieces.
