Mary Rhudell Vize Mudd, 97, Loretto, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at Village of Lebanon Nursing Home.
She was born on May 14, 1921 in Washington County.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Martin John Mudd Jr.; one son, Tom Mudd; one son-in-law, David Myers; her parents, John Irvin and Corine Mattingly Vize; her stepmother, Aileen Carrico Vize; and eight siblings.
Survivors include: eight children, Juanita Johnson (Mike) of Findlay, Ohio, Barbara Culver (Leo) of Springfield, Paul Mudd (Charlotte) and Martina Bowling (Robert), all of Louisville, Carol Taylor (Joe) of Fredericktown, Gary Mudd (Marsha) of Taylorsville, Lynn Russell (Glenn) of Loretto, and Bernadette Myers (David) of Elizabethtown; one daughter-in-law, Rita Mudd of Louisville; 34 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327, Lebanon, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. David Naylor will preside.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
Pallbearers are Vincent Culver, Joe Johnson, Nick Mudd, Chris Mudd, Matthew Taylor, Daniel Russell, and Isaac Myers.
