William Thomas "Tommy" Willard, 82, Gravel Switch, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was born on April 20, 1935 in Marion County. Willard was a retired farmer, plumber, and operated a septic service.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charles Roy Burton and Ara Cooley Willard; two brothers, Oscar Lee Willard and Hughie Thornton Willard; and sister, Martha Lorene Wren.
Survivors include his wife: Rita Ann Willard of Gravel Switch; daughter, Debra Ann (Greg) Justice of Lexington; sons, William Thomas Willard Jr. of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Neil Twomey of Louisville; two brothers, Oakley Darrell (Barbara) Willard of Paris and Robert Truman (Sylvia) Willard of Columbus, Indiana; sister, Ethel Naomi Hourigan of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with interment in Haysville Cemetery. Rev. Alvin Wren officiated.
Pallbearers were Ashley Wren, Sam Buck Tungate, Jimmy Darrell Willard, Marty Elliott, Rick Hourigan, and Steve Riley.
Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
