Sarah Elizabeth Napier, 87, Lebanon, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 in Elizabethtown after an illness.

She was born on June 14, 1927 to the late Tolbert and Bessie Edwards.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Earl Napier; one son, Tolbert Lee Napier; two brothers, James Edwards and Thomas Edwards; and two sisters, Margaret Shofner and Catherine Roberts.
Survivors include: one daughter, Barbara Napier Nallia of Lebanon; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Sonji Napier of Elizabethtown; three brothers, Charles (Gertrude) Edwards and Bernard (Henrietta) Edwards of Lebanon, and Robert (Jane) Edwards of Frankfort; four sisters, Ruth (Wilbur) Davis, Rose (Robert) Sanders, and Linda (Joe) Abell all of Lebanon, and Theresa Rakes of Florida; one grandson, Michael Scott Cook of Lebanon; two brothers-in-law, George Roberts of Bardstown and Ronnie Shofner of Elizabethtown; one sister-in-law, Ruby Edwards of Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug.7, at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery. Bro. Herbie Goff officiated.
Pallbearers were John Napier, Michael Cook, Greg Nugent, Ronnie Shofner, Brandon Shofner, and Jerry Davis.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral home was in charge of all arrangements.
