Elizabeth Spalding Epps, 84, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 in Lebanon after an illness.

She was born on Aug. 3, 1928, in Washington County to the late Robert and Florence Angelina Hagan Spalding. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Davis Epps Sr.; three sons, John Martin, Paul Adam and Charles Epps; one daughter, Immaculate Epps; six brothers, George, Francis, Charles, Ernest, J.R., and Archie Spalding; one sister, Mary Alice Spalding; and a great-grandchild, Anaya Cambron.
Survivors include: two sons and five daughters, Samuel Epps Jr., William Epps, Martha (Charles) Sanders, Delores Epps, Anita Epps, Mary Margaret McAtee all of Lebanon, and Mildred Cambron of Bardstown; one brother, Paul Spalding of Louisville; one sister, Martha Levell of Indianapolis, Ind., 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Friday Nov. 2, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Father Bill Bowling officiatied.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
