John Thomas "Tommy Bear" Garrett, 66, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at his residence after an illness.

He was born Dec. 7, 1946.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Edith Maude Dean and Raymond Garrett; and three brothers, Harold, Dinkey and Donald "Midge" Garrett.
Survivors include: his wife, Lillie Belle Williams Garrett; two sons and daughter-in-law, Charles "Doodle" and Stacey Garrett, and Michael Lee Garrett; a daughter and son-in-law, Lilly Renee and Stacy Benningfield; a brother, Bill Garrett; a sister, Shirley Henderson; a special sister-in-law, Odie Deering, all of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Amanda and Addison Garrett, Kelsey Franklin, and Jaci and Maggie Benningfield; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Old Liberty Cemetery. Bro. Clellan Hayes officiated.
Pallbearers were Moochi and Wayne Henderson, Timmy Hardin, William Garrett, Rob Deering, and Joe Shuck.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
