Bro. George T. Hourigan, 65, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 14, 1947.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Tilden and Lucille Hourigan; three brothers, Dee, Jerry and J.L. Hourigan; and three sisters, Faye Conder, Thelma Spalding and Margaret Payne.
Survivors include: his wife, Ruth Hourigan of Lebanon; a son, Mark Edward Hourigan of Bedford; five daughters, Michelle (DeWayne) Rakes, Georgane (David) Elmore and Melissa (Charles) Mattingly, all of Lebanon, Dawn Garcia of Springfield, and Kenna (Joe) Howell of Salem, Ind.; four brothers, Bobby, Eugene, Larry and Freddie Hourigan, all of Lebanon; six sisters, Linda Hourigan and Lorraine Morgan of Lebanon, Juanita Hodgen of Springfield, Theresa Robsen and Wanelle Shercliff of Louisville, and Loretta Collett of Indiana; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at New Beginnings Community Church Youth Center in Springfield followed by a private family burial. Bro. Jeff Edwards and Bro. Neal Gordon officiated.

Active pallbearers were Hunter and Levi Smith, Dakota Rakes, Joey and Jake Howell, J.T. and Isaiah Mattingly, and Austin Hourigan.
Honorary pallbearers were Brian Mattingly, Kyle Yankey, Mike Luckett, Mike Fenwick, Townya Carpenter, Mitchell Wheatley, Dr. Salem George, Marvin Gardner, Larry Garrett, George Kirkland, and Leigh Ann Masters.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
