Columbus, GA- SFC (Ret.) Luis Guillermo Reyes-Cuadrado, 84 of Columbus, GA died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Jacob Almeter officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. A Rosary will be said Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with visitation following until 8:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA.
SFC (Ret.) Reyes-Cuadrado was born February 1, 1929 in Puerto Rico son of the late Jose Reyes Moran and Maria Antonia Cuadrado. He retired after 27 years as a SFC in U. S. Army having served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He then worked and retired as food service manager of the Follow Me Golf Course at Ft. Benning. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Basilia Hernandez Reyes and sister, Elsa Reyes Gonzalez.
Survivors include his children, Rosa R. Means (Terrell) of Thomasville, GA, Carmen R. Murphy of Salem, AL, Ana H. Quinones of Columbus, GA, Gloria Iris Beeson (Tommy) of Hartwell, GA, Luis G. Reyes, Jr. of Orlando, FL, Diana Montenegro of Columbus, GA, Robert Reyes (Elaine) of West Milford, NJ and Evelyn Britt (Jeff) of Columbus, GA; siblings, Rosin Rivera Cuadrado, Gloria Reyes Osorpo (Jose), Marearo Reyes Gonzales, Domingo Reyes Gonzales, Juaguin Reyes Gonzalez, William Reyes Gonzalez and David Reyes Gonzalez; grandchildren, Cristina Means, Monica Claridy, Travis Murphy, Mandy Cole, Carlos Quinones, Jr., Melissa Byrd, Tommy C. Beeson, Jr., Michael F. Beeson, Joseph D. Beeson, London Reyes, Luis G. Reyes, III, Mark A. Hatch, Jr., Robert L. Hatch, Richard A. Headrick, Daniel R. Reyes and Emily N. Reyes and nineteen great grandchildren.
