Boutwell, Mary Faye - Salem  
Mary Faye Boutwell November 29, 1942- April 25, 2015 Salem, AL- Mary Faye Boutwell, 72, of Salem, Alabama passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EDT Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 6pm until 8pm at Vance Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Boutwell was born November 29, 1942 in Hartford, AL to the late Charles Foster Newsome and Ira Mae Odom Newsome. She worked at Eagle-Phenix Mills for over 20 years and was a home health care provider for 20 years. Mary was a longtime member at New Hope Freewill Baptist church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Rhonda Boutwell and husband, Milford Boutwell. She is survived by her daughter, Sondra Riley and husband Greg of Salem, AL; siblings, Elizabeth Elmore of Smiths, AL, Joann Brazwell and husband Ted of Phenix City, Al and Glenn Newsome and wife Peggy of Smiths, AL; grandchildren, Ashley Sanders(Mike), Dewayne Eiland(Shelby), Kim Aikens, Chad Sutton, Tangi McLendon, Jeremy Riley(Brandy) and Amanda Riley; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many caring friends.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Greater Bethelpore Baptist Church with Rev. Isaiah Sumbry, pastor, officiating, Rev. David Core, eulogist. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, April 27, 2015 from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Coleman was born October 12, 1951 in Salem, AL to Tom Coleman and Sue Jean Coleman. He was a member of Greater Bethelpore Baptist Church, a graduate of Smiths Station High School and had been employed with Georgia Power Company. Dupree, Henry Alfred - Americus  
Henry Alfred Dupree November 18, 1930- April 24, 2015 Americus, GA- Mr. Henry Alfred "Scrap" Dupree, Sr., 84, passed away on Friday evening, April 24, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 28, from Central Baptist Church in Americus with Dr. Bryan Myers, Rev. Bill Dupree, & Rev. Hugh DeLoach officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, April 27, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. in Americus. Mr. Dupree was a resident of the Gardens at Calvary Assisted Living for the past 3 years, having lived in Sumter County his whole life up until that point. Born November 18, 1930, he was a son of the late George Cleveland Dupree & Nereus Allen Dupree. He was preceded in death by 3 siblings: Mary Edith Dupree Young, William Benjamin Dupree, & Julian Virgil Dupree. A 1948 graduate of Americus High School, he attended Georgia Southwestern College & was a faithful employee of Shiver Lumber Company for 54 years. He was raised in the Shiloh Baptist Church & had been a faithful member of Central Baptist Church for 54 years. He was a past active deacon & Sunday School Superintendent. His greatest love was being Chairman of the Benevolence Committee, ministering to untold needs within the church and the community throughout the years. He was honored to have "The Alfred Dupree Sunday School Class" named for him. His motto in life was "Do what is right, Do your best, and Care about people". Everyone who knew or had "just met" him were drawn to his humor and compassion. Survivors include his wife, Rose Ann Arnett Dupree, children: Henry Alfred Dupree, II "Fred" (Sara) of Newnan, & Lee Ann Dupree Tipton (Ric) of Columbus; grandchildren: Henry Alfred Dupree, III (Alyssa) of Senoia, Charles Oliver Dupree of Anniston, AL, Neil Joseph Tipton of Columbus, & Daniel Reagan Tipton of Columbus; brother-in-law, Frank Ethridge; sister-in-law Ann Brown, both of Louisville, GA; & several nieces, nephews & cousins. The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to the staff at The Gardens at Calvary Assisted Living & the doctors & nurses at St. Francis Hospital ICU. SFC (US Army Ret) Oscar James Love, Sr. February 4, 1933- April 24, 2015 Phenix City, AL- SFC (US Army Ret) Oscar James Love, Sr. 82, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Roosevelt Rehabilitation Hospital in Warm Springs, GA. He was born February 4, 1933 in Stanfield, NC, to his late parents James and Agnes McClain Love. James served his country proudly and was a Veteran of both Korea and Vietnam. He was a Christian by faith and attended Seale Rd. Baptist Church. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by all. The family will receive guests for visitation Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 5:00-7:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby, 3770 Hwy. 431 North, Phenix City, AL. A Celebration of James' Life will be Wednesday, April 29, 2015 12:30 pm in Striffler-Hamby Chapel followed by a 2:00 pm Committal Service with Full Military Honors and Interment at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Pastor R. G. Blackwell Officiating. Along with his parents, James is preceded in death by one sister, one brother, and grandchild, Leann Love. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Wanda Love; one daughter, Renee (Rodger) Blanton of Phenix City, AL; three sons, Douglas (Diane) Love of Phenix City, AL, Thomas Love of Columbus, GA, and James (Norma) Love, Jr. of Phenix City, AL; two grandchildren, Jonathon Love, and Dustin Blanton; and one sister, Willie Jean (Wade) Kevin of NC; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of RWS Acute Care Rehab Center in Warm Springs, GA, and to Columbus Hospice for the exceptional care they received. Wayne was born in Anniston, AL. on August 22, 1957 to Walter Louis Mitchell of Cataula, GA. and the Late Mary Joyce Baber Mitchell. A resident of Columbus for many years, Wayne and his business partner Terry Brown owned and operated Columbus Security. He was Baptist by faith and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Wayne was an avid Fisherman and Hunter and enjoyed countless hours with his Boykin Spaniel Mitchells Mighty Maxamillion. Wayne was also preceded in death by his brother, Rocky Mitchell. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Blanco Mitchell of Columbus, his children, Wayne Lee Mitchell, Jr. and wife Heather, Michelle Suzanne Karcher and husband Jonathan and Kristen Nicole Vardman and husband Matthew, his father, Walter Louis Mitchell and sister, Judy Brown and husband Chris, daughter-in-law, Michelle Blanco and Mother-in-law, Helen Magill, grandchildren, Madison Joyce Mitchell, Emily Michelle Carrasquilla, Liam Paul Karcher, Hudson James Karcher and several nieces and nephews Condolences may be offered at www.shcolumbus.com
